Any thoughts?
I thought it was a pretty good pay per view. Almost all of the fights went to a decision. Shogun - Griffin didn't but barely made it with only 15 seconds left. That's pretty much the stunner for me. I, like many, didn't see Shogun losing that fight, especially not in the way that he did.
When did the world start spinning backwards?

seriously. I just finished my book critique for sociology, just because I wanted to listen to the Beatdown without distractions. What is my problem?
Plus now that I'm finished I can watch the Ultimate Fighter without interruption.
On a side note, I don't actually know how to write a book critique so I'm pretty sure I just failed this. And it's 30% of my grade. WTF? She totally left us hanging with this one. I hope I made a 100 on the last test; I'm gonna need it.

It will be better than ever, but it won't be the same. Watching the Pride 34 was really emotional. I love MMA, but I cannot deny that I love the Pride PPV much more than the UFC. Especially after the last UFC. Not taking anything from the Huerta - Garcia fight which was obviously the best one of the night, but Pride just grabs me.
And finally Sean Weelock (Wheelock, Weeloch)...Good lord, does he follow me? He used to be the announcer for the MLS show on FSC which at the time was Fox Sports World. Then they wised up and got rid of him, but apparently he's gonna be the announcer for Pride now. WTF? Who hears him and says, "Boy, he's fantastic". He's horrible. Truly horrible. He's like the Dave O'Brien of MMA except he has knowledge of stuff.
I suppose that if FSC wanted to, they could keep him. I mean they got rid of MLS coverage, but there are other games and leagues that need to be covered. I'm sure they could've found something for him to do. WHY WHY WHY? Maybe he'll do a Christian Miles and suddenly get better. Christian used to be the shit of FSC and now he's a fairly decent announcer. He's no Martin Tyler or Derek Rae, but then again, who is?

Easter was good. Can't complain.
Matt Serra...I'm not too upset because I like him. Had that been Matt Hughes..URGHGGH A totally different story. Hell, who am I kidding. Compared to Matt Hughes, everyone isn't so bad. I really can't stand him. It's just something about the way that he is. Back to GSP. After the fight, check out his interviews, on Sherdog and on the PPV. Pure Class. That's why he will continue to be my #2 fav. fighter (Shogun is Numero Uno baby), he's got heart and class. Can't say that for many people. He'll be back on top. I'm sure. You can't hold a man like that down.
Real Madrid. I'm not gonna lie. (This is a post full of honesty isn't it. ) I assumed that with Barca and Valencia losing and Sevilla getting a draw, that Real would lose or get a draw. Why you ask? Because whenever the other teams falter Real never seem to be able to capitalize. NOT TODAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHoo!! 2-0 at HOME vs. Osasuna. That's an accomplishment because Real have been complete shit at home this season. Canna was back. Miguel Torres played again I assume. Yea that video is gonna find it's way to this post. I'm pretty sure.

It's the speed. Forgive me. I hate to be childish but my mind works faster than I can type. That isn't so unusual, my mind works faster than most things.
For the 2nd time today, I'm watching MMA.
This reminds me of football in this country. I remember when I literally had to scour the internet to find out when FSN would be playing the ONE Premiership match that week. NOW I've got whole channels of nothing but football. I can see games over and over again. I got to watch the Man U - Boro tie live AND watch a replay of it again today. I actually have the luxury of getting tired of seeing a game. Like that Catania - Palermo game that FSC kept replaying over and over and over when league games were suspended as a result of the actions during and after THAT game.
That's what it's like with MMA now...kinda. I mean it's obviously not at the same level. BUT it's gone from something completely random and rare to something that I can get on a regular basis. Earlier today PRIDE played their show, and just a few hours later Spike is airing another UFC Unleashed. Just a few weeks ago, I was hard pressed to see that PRIDE show if I didn't catch it when it first aired. Now, it's scheduled to come on multiple times in the span of a few days.
I dunno, just an observation. It happened the other day too; even the small things make a difference.

That would be a good place to start. I took a year off of school. Nothing to bad happened. I just didn't have transportation. The storm (Katrina) didn't help matters either. My mom lost 1 of her jobs, which means she lost her disposable income, which meant she couldn't get a new car, which meant I couldn't get her old one.
No matters at the moment. I actually feel good and stable. I may not have my license but I don't stress over it like I used to. It was pretty touch and go there for a minute. It sounds stupid, but if you had went through this last year feeling like I felt, you'd understand. I felt trapped. Still kinda do, but having work to do and something to do in general helps.
I don't wanna dwell on something that I feel that I'm over.
UFC. Matt Hughes - B.J. Penn main event. The other matches are nothing to scoff at either. Anyway, I'm more concerned about after this particular match up since the one I really wanna see is Georges St. Pierre vs. Matt Hughes...assuming Hughes wins of course, which I believe he will.
And....for the finale...I'm still trying to figure out exactly how everything works. lol sooo...here comes the testing portion of this entry.
